Just wanna say, i apologize to anyone I’ve ever offended on this site…i genuinely have love for all of y’all. You guys helped make this place possible and i along with the other founders, wings, etc know that it wouldn’t be possible without you all. I know I’m ghetto as fuck sometimes, but it really is all love.
@sssnaps I appreciate the encouragement, but it's the length of the healing process that I'm not happy about, not PT.
Our nerves are the slowest healing parts of our body and only heal up to possibly a millimeter a day. I'm looking at a possible 2 years to get full feeling in my fingers and to not experience burning/electric shock type of pain.
Unfortunately, yeah. Had a friend who I had to let go because they were upset at me for some reason, and when I tried to talk to them about it, they said nothing. They completely blew up on me out of nowhere, and then decided to go quiet. So I just said “fuck it, let em go.” And that was that.
It fucked me up mentally, and actually, it kinda still does, just not to as great of an extent.
And it’s really sad, too, because the week prior to this, we were cool and talking. If there was a problem between us, they…well, she…didn’t say anything to address it.
@whatsgoodty sucks being short staffed. I had 4 people out a few weeks ago waiting on results, thankfully only 1 was positive. I'm glad that the quarantine period was halved. It was brutal losing an employee for almost 2 weeks and trying to cover their shifts.
In my opinion the period being halved is gonna infect more ppl no?
Yes, because you’re actively working while recovering. It’s madness
@petravork ok....definitely gotta reread this whole thread lol.....this is prob better than the how to score chics men's Bible lol.....if ya know ya know.... I'm far from an avid book club member, but some is definitely worth the read imo 🤷♂️
I could not become anything: Neither bad nor good, neither a scoundrel nor an honest man, neither a hero nor an insect. And now I am eking out my days in my corner, taunting myself with the bitter …
Sometimes, just an outside angle is all you need to hear from someone else that makes all the sense in the world, that may just be overlooked by someone.
It's all about the perspective that you are viewing it from.....are you bending a narrative, to make it fit into what u want it to be.... trust your gut man.....thats thing has a way of knowing exactly when to twist up at the right time....it's a sign from God. GTF away...... and Ti expeditiously expeditiously
I feel for new users who come in and are intimidated but how close-knit this community is. I'm sure it's difficult to figure out how to navigate that.
It takes some effort to build a rapport , the issue is new users don't take the time to do it. It is very important to do so as it makes people more welcoming to your suggestions / questions / self promotion.
Many people don't understand that.
They take the easy route, become defensive and essentially pinning us with the blame.
@dortthefort it’s just the internet man, shit don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. The bigger lesson is if someone gifts you something from the kindness in their heart, be appreciative…that’s it.
Glad your safe @KingTy . Take care. I narrowly escaped getting hit by a truck when I was learning to drive , I stupidly didn't check my blind spot while joining the highway , I just had the scariest 10 seconds of my life and had to pull over to process it and thank God for the save
@cannabiscorpse this is what I think. I don’t know enough about you or your situation to tell you rather you need this job or not, but I will say that $9 an hour is not enough money to deal with emotional stress at work. You are working 60 hours a week to make someone else rich when you could be devoting 60 hours a week to something that will make you rich. But everyone has to start from somewhere. It’s ok to go back and take that pizza job, but don’t get comfortable. Use it as a stepping stone to get to the next level. Start saving money every pay check so that you can free yourself from that job and move on to a better job or your own business. You would literally make more money driving Uber or DoorDash when you get your license back than you would working there.. Start brainstorming on a plan and maybe make a thread here when you’re ready for the next step everyone can make a few suggestions on what job or business you should go into. Best of luck.
