Story Time Thread
I thought of making this, so I decided to go through with said thought.
Here's my story:
So last night, after playing 2K for a little bit, I got on Madden. After debating which mode to play, I picked FOTC (Face Of The Franchise). Now because I rarely play the mode, I had to play the college game against Texas. I started off pretty good, scored 30 in the first quarter, and 39 in the second. I accidentally let Texas score because I switched to the wrong player (I'm an idiot).
I was winning 75-6 about halfway through the third quarter, getting ready to kick the ball back to Texas after I scored again, when the game just disconnected. No explanation, nothing happened to my internet, nothing. Madden just went AWOL on me. I had to do everything in my power to not throw my controller into the wall. I sat there on the couch for about 5 minutes just contemplating life. I was so pissed that I couldn't even play Madden anymore. I closed it and got on UFC. UFC 3 is too easy. I beat Stipe with 1 kick (literally, it was a single roundhouse to the head lol), and I beat Rumble with I think 2 kicks (both roundhouse kicks). Once I did that, I went to Knockout Mode and decimated Stipe again (I don't hate Miocic, dude is a beast, but he had to get the smoke).
So, sometimes when I play myteam, this weird thing happens.
The first time was somewhere around the first half, I’m winning, starting to go on a run. And my connection is perfect.
Then, out of nowhere, my opponent pauses. He pauses for about a minute. Then when he unpauses, all of a sudden, my internet is horrible. I’m lagging so hard, and he’s coming back. At the end of the half, my lead disintegrated.
The lag stopped halfway through the 3rd, that’s when I started beating down on him again, and won the game. I brushed that internet thing off because it was the first time, and I won anyway. Made a joke that “he unplugged my internet”.
But it’s been happening to me more, and more, and more. To the point where I’m actually considering investigating this, if your connection gets worse after your opponent pauses
