BR warriors have my respect and my condolences. Finished the program today and stacked a lot of stubs, but it was maddening. Playing on All Star with bad pitchers is just as awful as I remember. It's almost impossible to strike anyone even slightly competent out, and you can't throw hard stuff on the inside because it's an automatic late/very late bloop to the opposite field. Blows my mind that this is the difficulty SDS has a vast majority of the player base playing on. Gonna think long and hard before considering doing this again.

93 ovr Pudge is a base round Takashi card and it looks like PS Luis Gonzalez will be the Headliner today. If it's a copy/paste of his previous PS card he'll have a very good bat but an almost unusable speed/defense combo in the OF.

Eury Perez could be the new Edward Cabrera. Outlier on the Sinker, great break and good enough control. Just look at this shit! Might have to grind out some Event wins...

GG been nice playing Ranked. He's got a slurve too.
I've seen people saying he won't be that hard to hit because he's only got 3 pitches and others saying this is the end times. I think it's closer to the latter because tunneling that sinker and circle change is going to be hell, with the slurve as a wipeout pitch. I don't know what his release is like, but if it's even a little bit funky he's gonna be a problem for a long time. Only positive to me is that the meta might start turning away from LHPs and become a little more balanced. That's great for someone like me who has at least 4 lefties they want in the lineup.

Gotta be either Burnes or Halladay. I think if you're playing on AS keep Burnes because Outlier is more likely to destroy your average opponent there. On HOF go Halladay because of the increased control and H/9.

Good deal. I like them both but Eury clearly looks better than either of them. I use Burnes a lot in Conquest/offline since it pitches in the stretch. Games go quicker that way

Looks like I'm gonna probably be able to get Brett when this choice pack drops. Just need to get halfway through a couple programs and finish USA conquest. One mini season run will also probably help. My question is after I get Brett and proceed to strikeout the first 12 at bats, what method of suicide should I go with?

Gagne could be very usable, but Pudge and Ozzie typically aren't. I think the rare round could be as high as 97 and we probably won't have positional overlap, so here's hoping it's an OF and a SP. Would love to see 96/97 Pedro and Griffey.

Loving this event, think I’m 20-4 overall so far. Sold off Eury and Melendez to cash in, will get them back in Rewind Packs next event
Some of these Future Stars are cracked as fuck. Austin Hendrick, Brady House, Brett Baty have been carrying the team. Orelvis Martinez and George Valera have been very solid. I was very disappointed in Michael Toglia and Justin Foscue

Decided to play MTO because I was sleep deprived and kinda bored with DD. What a discovery. Went with Detroit on veteran and somehow made it to 100 wins, traded and called up the team to an 80 ovr and had multiple stand out player's. Gonna start the ALDS and try to play thru the end and see where the mode goes from there. Definitely more xp and fun game mode for offline.

Lot of variables here that will mean the difference between this card being great or ass. Will he have outlier on the 4SFB? Will he have a sinker with no outlier? Will they give him his typical offspeed or make his curve or slider into a slurve? Will the BB/9 be too low to make him reliable? Can't wait to find out.

I might have been wrong about Eury Perez. Got the 15 wins in the event and having used and faced him multiple times...he's no Edward Cabrera. Delivery is easy to read, PAR is larger than his BB/9 and control would suggest, and he really needs 1 more pitch. I'm gonna sell and see what Feller looks like. With a free Sale also coming soon, I just don't think Eury is gonna make the cut. Bobby Miller is much better

Cubs Soriano is the other rare round option in the choice pack. He only played OF in his Cubs years, though we don't really know what goes into the Takashi ratings or positional abilities. I expect he won't have a 2B secondary, but maybe we'll be surprised. If he's 90ish speed with gold fielding and 100+ power, Clemente may finally hit the bench for me.

Is it worth it to lock in Live Series at this point? I’m up to 900k stubs and can probably get close to 1.4 million if I liquidate my legends and flashbacks. Still not enough to complete the collection but can get me 3/4 of the way there I think. My pack luck has been terrible this year so haven’t pulled a single high Diamond gatekeeper in the couple of weeks that I started playing again.
I’m always worried about not having the legends and flashbacks for the Brett collection, but seems like locking the live series will help me complete that collection also.

Most people dip at the lineup screen or after going up 1-0 if you run randy
I’m not a WS guy so keep that in mind

Played a guy that was 27-1 on the current Ranked Season name WONASONE. He is hitting .450 on mostly legend games.
He scored like 9 runs in two innings. Everything he touched was a bomb. Meanwhile I took only good timing swings with near perfect pci placement for outs. I just quit, but the game is mind boggling once you get to the upper tier in World Series.
Hate to say it, but I honestly think 2K might be a better game.
I guess 2K is just as ridiculous when you play the absolute top tier players.

@Nickstank @Rench3373 Need some advice. Have the stubs for Baez, but castellanos isn't doing it for me and I need a right fielder and soriano looks delicious. Should I hold for Javy assuming his price is similar to other WS guys or should I get Soriano to replace a slumping castellanos

@sssnaps oh man that’s a tough one. I just bought Soriano and I don’t have enough ABs with him to tell you a clear cut answer. The way @Nickstank talks, Baez will be the real deal. On the other hand, he can’t play OF if you need/want to replace Castellanos. Both will be great options for you!

My CAP has Baez swing so who knows I might grind for him. Soriano doesn’t crowd the plate as much as he did last year which is a huge change. Baez should end around 125k max but wouldn’t be surprised if he goes below 100k. Ranked is super sweaty those first couple of weeks

I played a guy, forgot his name, who was ranked in top 10 and I’m pretty sure he was a robot.
Everything I threw got crushed. The people are the top are insane and I just chalk it up to me being not on their level

Baez has the better swing. The stats will likely be very similar. I have Soriano and give the slight edge to Baez, but Soriano will be cheaper for a bit
