Honest Takes: What is Denver’s Ceiling?
Ceiling: Could win maybe a ring or two around 2023-2025 timeframe. Possibly a Pre-KD Golden State Run if things go their way such as the Lakers, Clippers, and Nets getting worse as Denver gets better. Doubt this happens, but it would be interesting.
Floor: Really good title contender, but will go ringless. Could make a couple WCF appearances, maybe a NBA Finals appearance, but won’t win a ring.
Worst Case Scenario: Bubble run was a fluke and Denver never makes it past the 2nd round at most.
A few Players I want to hear on:
Ceiling: Top 15ish NBA Player
Floor: A star for multiple years Could be placed around (16-25) in the league
Worst Case Scenario: Bubble performance was a fluke and Murray regresses to how he was before the Bubble.
Ceiling: Perennial All Star/Fantastic 3rd Star
Floor: Elite Role Player (Specializes in Scoring and possibly solid defense with a couple dishes)
Worst Case Scenario: Injuries catch up and MPJ becomes a “what if”
Ceiling: Elite Role Player off the bench (Shoot, Play solid paint defense, Pass)
Floor: Serviceable Role Player when Jokic is off the floor
Worst Case Scenario: Same with MPJ’s Worst Case Scenario
I’m curious to see the consensus, and yes I will repeat I doubt Denver has a “Pre-KD Golden State Run”, but if things go their way (such as I mentioned above), who knows. The future is unpredictable.
