Video editing/production and Youtube

I figured the U would be a great place to ask about this sort of thing.
I've always had a desire to review/discuss video games and I've finally decided to try and put my money where my mouth is and create something.
I've had a number of people in my life tell me that my personality would translate well to this sort of thing (I dunno about all that) but, I figure I'll never know if I don't try.
Thing is, I don't know the first thing about editing, sound production, you name it.
I was wondering if anyone here had some good resources I could check out to begin to learn the skills I'd need to take a shot at this.

@rsande64 IMovie is completely free and I suggest you try it out it’s really good if you’re starting out (if you have an iPhone or ipad) I suggest do it on ipad phone is not bad too
-
@rsande64 I am god awful at it, but there are a few free editors online. Don’t use Clideo, or those websites tho. You can find one that is a download
-
@rsande64 I never tried it but Adobe Spark (I think) but it’s a video editor and it does cost money but the photography plan is 14 CAD a month and you get that plus photoshop and lightroom and 1 or 2 other things it also could be a good thing to use if you start to get good

@shinostique Windows.
Welp there goes IMovie lol.
My experience with Windows is beginner level, but I do remember using this program.
But in Windows, I’m positive the software Windows Movie Maker is free for Windows and with this software, you can upload videos (then copy, past, delete, or clip (separate) them), sound bites (or sound recordings) which you can move them to match a particular moment in the video where you need to “voice over”, and add music.
Video w/ Movie Maker link
(Note: Apparently Movie Maker discontinued in 2017 but it’s good to learn from)

However @Rsande64 Im in no way shape or form a editor lol.
-
@shinostique Lol. I appreciate the advice and the legwork you've done either way.
That goes for @Mkopli and @Sssnaps as well.
And of course, I promise to create content the VORK will be proud of. @Petravork

Torrent Adobe Premiere and call it a day. There are tons of resources for it as it's an industry standard program.
But for YouTube you really only need the fundamentals.
