He said he’s done a significant amount of research. What does he think research is? His idea of research probably entails reading other antivaxxers and covid deniers papers who also did their own research based on anecdotal “evidence.” Ignorance breeds ignorance. That’s not research. That’s call conspiracy theory pleasure reading.
Until he can say that he’s looked at data, have been to a covid ward, or has proven any medical understanding of what’s happening, I have lost all respect for him despite his basketball accomplishments.

In all seriousness, this reminds me so much of a guy in Australia called Pete Evans (a celebrity chef, hosted a TV cooking competition). Basically has paraded himself as a beacon of information re: all things COVID without obviously having done any in-depth research (also has come out as full-on MAGA), and has made a public fool of himself because of it. Gives me similar vibes to what Stockton is doing here - using his obvious platform for spreading complete ignorance
It absolutely saddens me to see this from a great of the game, but it doesn't surprise me to see more and more of these types of opinions from well-known figures become public, unfortunately
