Official apology to KD and he was right about Russ
-
After years of thinking to myself that KD took the easy way out by joining the Warriors and leaving a top 10 player Westbrook behind. I’ve had to admit to myself that I was wrong.
Westbrick may be the lowest IQ offensive player I’ve ever seen and anyone who thinks differently doesn’t know basketball. He’s inefficient as a shooter and a scorer, he leads the league in turnovers, plays no defense and he acts as if he’s Gods gift to basketball. Kevin Durant deserves a Medal of Honor for playing with Brodie for the time he did.
I hold my breath in 4th quarters watching the Lakers in fear that Westbrick will dribble the ball off of his own shoe, step out of bounds, launch a pull up 3 or dribble into a wall of defenders. I respect how hard he plays, but he is completely ass at decision making and anything that requires skill…. That is all
-
-
@quantumkat I think this Lakers season definitely exposed Westbrook. All this media attention and he’s failing badly. It’s hard to play any worse than what he’s playing right now. KD looks like a basketball genius for making the moves he made.
-
I gotta be honest. I knew it threw parity out the window for a few years, but I never really faulted KD for making the best possible move for himself.
I think a ton of people will come to appreciate those Warriors teams down the road for providing us with some of the best basketball ever played.
(The Bulls were also fucking garb at the time, so I'm sure it was much easier for someone like me to have this mentality than fans of teams that were actually competitive)
-
@hollygrovemikey yea the Lakers would have been better off keeping Caruso imo.
He's not ball dominant as a playmaker (they have Lebron for that) and he plays pretty intelligently on both sides. he doesn't have the offensive ability that RWB does but he makes better decisions and can shoot better, and defensively he's at least on par as an on-ball defender.

I fully agree with all of this, just sub in the word Nets for Bulls. That was the best timeframe to be a fan of a shitty team

At this point I don’t think RWB has the offensive ability of what people expect of RWB. Things may change, but I’ve seen enough. If I’m Pelinka.. I’m on the phone right now trying to see if that Buddy Hield deal is still on the table

some of us live in a perpetual state of being a fan of a shitty team, or teams on the wrong side of the shitty spectrum at least
-
I think the Lakers got him so that they can rest Lebron in prep for the playoffs
He still ass tho
-
I feel like most people don't blame KD for wanting to get away from Russ but more so where he chose to go
-
Russ is easily the most overrated player of all time
-
Is he still doing the rock-the-baby shits every time he lucks into a post score?
Hate Russ and his game but can't say it hasn't been nice watching this fool drag the Lakers down.
-
After suffering thru a season of westbrick I have come to the conclusion he is ASS
-
@nba2kpdx Yeah, he is still doing the rock a baby shit when he occasionally scores a bucket… and then he had the nerve to check a young opposing player one game for taunting as if he wasn’t just doing it..
-

You are completely right Vork. It took for me to see him on the Lakers where I really put attention to see how bad he is. His 2k rating should be a 67

While I do agree with this, the way he handled it still hurts a lot to this day. It’s not good to hold grudges, but I remember the complex of emotions when that happened on July 4th, 2016. Easily one of the worst days in my life so far.
I think a ton of people will come to appreciate those Warriors teams down the road for providing us with some of the best basketball ever played.
This is going to a really hard pill for me to swallow because one, KD royally screwed us by going to the Dubs (a betrayal that still stings to this day), but I do agree the basketball they played was entertaining to watch and was a necessary “villain” team we needed during that time.
However as a Thunder fan, KD’s decision REALLY hurts to this day.

I'm thankful LeBron came back and won because I'd still be salty
-
OKC should've kept Harden and let Westbrook kick rocks.
Harden, KD, and Ibaka would've won a ring.

What’s worse is that KD I don’t think has ever “apologized” for the way he handled it. Instead I’m pretty sure he’s made himself the “victim” in all of this and says some stuff about OKC that makes this unnecessary.
Maybe I’m wrong on the last part, but I don’t recall him ever being like, “You know, I fucked up, and I should’ve handled it better.” That one sentence would be fine for me to move on.
-
Lakers should have made that trade for Buddy Hield
Instead they are going to die on this Westbrook hill -

I’m pretty sure we could’ve kept all 3 if it wasn’t for paying Perkins or something like that (we already payed Ibaka at that point). People forget but we didn’t have a big man because of Tyson Chandler (can’t remember the exact reason why he wasn’t traded to us) trade failed. So we had to trade Jeff Green for Perk to cover us. Of course Perk declined rapidly after trading Harden and our center issue was of course resolved when we drafted somebody (Steven Adams) a year after trading Harden.
-
@arcas I see a lot of lakers fan saying this but carmelo is doing the same shit buddy would have done
-
Don’t think he is this bad ( like he is playing right now ) but I can’t trust on a team with him playing the playoffs where every Possesion counts
His shot and play selection is just terrible -
People (outside of OKC) weren’t upset that he left Russ, they were upset because he joined one of the best teams ever. The Warriors weren’t the only team out there. People would’ve respected his move if it was to a lot of different teams like even the spurs or Clippers.
-
Oh boy y’all done got shinoThunderFan riled up now
-
Tbh, I think the Harden + KD + Westbrook will be like the Raptors with Vince + TMac situation except much worse because these 3 ended up becoming MVP’s at one point and we could’ve had a dynasty.
It’s partially why I want a ring so bad in OKC and am willing to do go through extreme measures for the franchise to get the team there again (such as tanking).
-
@gobles honestly most ppl in Oklahoma felt the same way. It wasn't that he left, it's that he left to the team that beat us in the fucking WCF, where KD looked like he gave up mid game..
Who thee fuck passes to Andre Roberson for the game winner?
-

Russ will be fine Lakers will go far in playoffs and ultimately lose to the warriors

KD would've compensated. KD and Harden would've been a better pair, imo.

Pain

@12th @Shinostique I have a challenge… Can anyone name a starting point guard that Russ is currently better than?

I wouldn’t say riled up, but more sad than anything. I guess it’s pain day for me.

Kemba, Darius Garland, Jalen Suggs, Reggie jackson ,spencer dinwiddie, lonzo, Mike Conley
-
@ogxsuave don’t care

Lmao you do it’s okay. Curry is the MVP right now

Dubs are scary... 9-1 against weak competition... sure, but still... it's 9-1. Steph has had a lot of bad games too.
I think the league is on notice. If Klay is halfway decent and they're healthy...
-
@ogxsuave I don’t watch the Kings, but I gotta think If Lakers swap Russ for Foxx right now. They would be better. Russ has the 10th lowest fg% in the entire league, 4th lowest 3point, #1 in turnovers and one of the worst defenders,
@ogxsuave said in Official apology to KD and he was right about Russ:

Russ not better than Mike Conley and Kemba. Send them to the Lakers

@ogxsuave i don’t give up on my team and i don’t dick ride the next one.
It’s LA or die my nigga. Fuck the dubs
-
@12th Fuck the lakers
