As LA drops to 8-9 while playing one of the easiest schedules in the NBA… What are your thoughts going forward?
Is it time to blow the team up? Coaching changes? Etc
@Gobles @Juicy-J-8787 @12th @Kobe6Rings @PandemicP @RodSquad @AblazeWhisper

-
@hollygrovemikey Yeah blow up the Bucks too
-
@kobe6rings 4 straight wins and 6-0 with Jrue, Giannis, and Khris playing and now over .500
-
@kobe6rings Bucks are a small market team one year removed from wining a championship with not many options. I don’t think they gonna get a haul for their players outside of Giannis who won’t be traded, but Lakers have more assets than just about anyone in the league.
-
The Lakers have so many troubles I will need several posts to mention it all

Who? They traded everything for Westbrook?
-
@sg24 Amazing what health can do right? Imagine when Brook starts playing.
-
@hollygrovemikey No one will take Westbrook with his contract
-
@sg24 Bucks are also in the East.. They have nothing to worry about. Bucks couldn’t get a better team from trades. But the Lakers could actually get better from trading players… AD, Russ, THT, Nunn, Monk, etc… they have way too much talent to be this bad. Pieces just not fitting.
-
@shoko Have you seen how he’s been playing lately? Yes they will. I think a few teams would.
-
-
@shoko I don't believe in untradeable contracts anymore. RWB has had some insane games this year. Trading him is nonsense. This is the biggest early season overreaction I have ever seen.
-
@hollygrovemikey I’ll take him for George hill and a 2nd round pick
-
@hollygrovemikey I doubt they trade AD. Russ’s value for his age and contract idk what return they’ll get. Monk has been really inconsistent and Nunn has barely played.
-
Still haven’t seen the team healthy so no strong opinion. Them being down 25+ 6 games this year will not continue and damn sure not happen while Bron is playing and their healthy.
-
I’m honestly just lost on how bad this team is. But look, we’ve barely had Bron this year. Without him on the floor I don’t think we should be expecting to win games. That said, when everyone is on the floor it needs to start looking better. It’s not just one thing. It’s spacing, it’s defense, it’s shooting, it’s effort. None of it is even close to a championship level. I don’t know who we trade though. Russ would be the easy answer but I don’t see it happening this season. We brought him here and I think we’re gonna commit to him. I’m definitely pretty upset with Pelinka. He clearly is just giving Bron whatever he wants instead of making the smart moves. We should still have Caruso, KCP, and added Buddy Hield. Bron missed badly with his GM decisions on this one. Russ isn’t changing his game for anyone.
-
-
-
I also would say. Hopefully by some miracle Vogel is just throwing bullshit lineups together to see what sticks right now and what needs to be burned.
I know Vogel isn’t this smart but would like to be surprised. The goal is championship or bust so losing some games early due to experimenting doesn’t hurt if they get healthy cause we know rotations are cut deeper in the season.
-

What assets? THT? Because that’s about it. Everyone else is either on a one year contract, or getting paid 45 million dollars.
-
-
Max lakers could get for Westbrook is another John wall swap. And I don’t think the rockets would even do that because they’re tanking.
-
The problem Vogel is having is because we have a bunch of one sided players. We got guys who play offense OR defense. Not both. Wish we could put Bron, AD, and 3 Avery Bradleys out there honestly. But Frank is having to choose using DJ, Bazemore, and Dwight for defense, or Melo, Monk, and Ellington for offense. None of them are two way players.
-
Teams would trade for expiring contracts and especially these cap friendly expiring contracts. Maybe not a playoff team but there’s definitely appeal to others.
-
@pandemicp No let's just bury them even though they've played 0 games healthy and it's November. That creates for better discussion
-
@juicy-j-8787 yeah but you’re not gonna get anything good for them, especially since a lot of them are super old
-
Well we shouldn’t be looking for stars in return. I think we’re all realizing that isn’t the best route for a Lebron team. We just need solid two way role players that are lost on less watched franchises. Let us find some barely known gem on the Magic or Pacers or something that hustles his ass off and we’ll turn him into a commodity. We just need fitting pieces.
-
@juicy-j-8787 there isn’t a lot of two way players in the NBA in general so I don’t think that’s the issue. Bradley, Bron, Ariza, Russ, AD, Dwight, and DJ all can play defense enough to get stops either in the paint or perimeter when they have players that can rotate defensively.
When Russ has to do more on offense it takes away defensive effort on the ball which LeBron will help with. Melo, Ellington, and Monk are the only players I see as possibly being cones on the defensive end.
-
AD and Russ together not being over .500 is what I’m shocked with tbh
-
@kobe6rings I still don’t get what we’re measuring this team cause the warriors were called a church league team last year while being hurt and nobody was making threads on blowing them up.
Like I keep saying if this was happening while LeBron was playing who is the best player on their team I would be concerned.
It’s established that AD isn’t consistently aggressive and I honestly wouldn’t want him to so he can stay healthy for the playoffs. Every other contending team facing injuries has had their best player still play except the 76ers right now.
-
@sg24 that’s the problem right there. It’s not a game of 2 on 2 or 2k it’s 5 on 5. Idk why y’all think a newly put together team of completely different playing styles would just mesh automatically.
This not a team of a bunch of spot of shooters or strictly defensive guys. You got about 6 guys that can get they own bucket if hot and trying to find a way to fit into the offense.
-
Ariza gonna be a very underrated piece when he returns. But you know that Monk, Ellington, Melo, and even Russ and Rondo aren’t playing great D right now. Yet when DJ and Dwight are in, defense is better but it clearly bothers AD on the offensive end. AD can’t really get post position with them in there and his 3pt % is god awful this year. We shoot more 2’s than anyone in the league and are near the bottom in 3’s given up. DJ and Dwight can’t be getting huge mins.
-
Imagine the soap opera of a Westbrook-Simmons trade. As much as I’d hate it for the Sixers, it would almost be worth it for the sheer entertainment value alone.

The funny thing is, we would have to give up 3 million more just to take in his contract. Which means giving up one of our young players or Drummond/niang.

🤮🤮🤮

Bucks Philly and Boston are 10-8 and Lakers are 9-10 I’m not concerned.
-
@juicy-j-8787 that’s why I said those players need somebody that can rotate with them. It’s the NBA so unless your a lockdown specialist you’re going to get beat regardless of who are unless you are just bigger and stronger.
The Lakers biggest issue is that they have no one in the driving lanes before the ball gets to the paint and it only takes a one perimeter hand off to create a mismatch.

Me as a Thunder fan: “Are you sure about that?”
-
@nd13 bro literally almost every player on the Lakers has some trade value. They had a really good free agency, but it’s just not paying off on the court.
-
-
Idk man, idk

Putting it here

Lebron would never work for 3.2 million… He’s a billionaire
-
Relying on a 38 year old lebron to get you back on track is not the wave. The whole purpose of a Westbrook was to carry the team & he’s carrying them to mediocrity
-
looks at theead
crumples it into a ball
-
-
Go back in time ,
Keep Kcp and Caruso and get HieldI heard the point of RWB was wining games while Lebron sit out ,
Funny because that isn’t showing trust in AD and Lakers aren’t wining even with Lebron on the courtAriza will not be impactful

Here come the fans of the NBA Champs of November lol
