I know you guys clicked on this thread based on the title to clown on me, but I stayed true to my word yesterday and tried this game out for the first time in months.
And you know what? This game isn't half bad. The new update today has given the game a better paced and refined feel to the game. I honestly played this game expecting a vastly disappointing new update based around the high percentage of 12 year-old audience, however the game has a greater focus on actually aiming rather than spam building now with the new scoped weapons and higher damage weapons. If you enjoyed the early days of Fortnite and don't really have much to play right now, I would recommend giving it a try again.

Prime fort in 2018 was a true gaming experience. It was at a time where 2k was completely horrendous. I'll never forget how fun prime fort was

My sister's husband bought my little 9yo nephew (his son) a 13500 vbucks code for his birthday.
But since he's a total coconut for anything that's tech/games/anything electronic related lol he got the wrong region for the code. Nephew scratched the code so they can't return it and now they got an 80$ toilet paper card.The night after, my nephew gets mad over a loss at a battle royal or whatever a run is called, and almost breaks his controller. So his dad sees that and gets mad because little nephew got mad and breaks the controller instead of him

I never really liked Fortnite in the past. My homie convinced me to play with him and gifted me the battle pass at the beginning of last season.
I ended up actually having fun and maxed out the battle pass lol. This new chapter is honestly even better. I still can't build for shit, but I somehow caught 6 Ws yesterday.

@darth I've been playing for XP as opposed to just trying to win recently and the XP comes fast if you focus on that. I'll literally drop in, do a quest and if there's no other quest nearby I'll just quit and drop closer to my next one lol.
I also play this game too damn much tbh. I stopped playing 2K and all that mindless grinding had to go somewhere lol.

Can't wait for the tilted towers update. That would really restore this game to being top tier again. The only complaint I have about the game right now is that there isn't any POI in the center of the map, which is why the tilted update needs too come out soon.

@petravork Well basically the USP of the game was that you could build but everyone got very good at it and more casual players got annoyed with this. So they basically removed building, which the whole game was built around so now it just sucks lmao

@petravork Yes lol. You can only build in Arena (the competitive game mode) and that isn't even working on console right now. I heard they will add it back in a week or 2 but the game is dreadful rn

lol i wasn’t even that bad, i was never comp but if the boys wanted to hop on for old time sake i was always the best… got tired of having to play the game 6-8 hours a day and constantly practice and whatever else… it just wasn’t fun.. so i quit playing with the exception of maybe once every 2 weeks
with building being gone, i might try it out lol

@cwiehebrink_04 Yes lol. They added 50 extra shield health that re-gens after you hit them to counter the no building. You hit someone once from range and they run away. The game is meant to have building.

I stopped playing after they made a second chapter and it was starting to get shit after the 8th season fortnite died in the end 2018 it was a good game but obviously not anymore

Yeah the game feels lacking af without building. The new movement is wild tho, mfs Usain Bolting for ya ass w a drum shotty.
I had fun playing w buddies last night, but that's just bc we were fucking around lol. Probably won't play many solos until building is back.
