@hollygrovemikey Wifi calling
Bruh. That’s some ramen noodle kinda living.
-
@petravork I don't use social media and I keep a small group of friends so there is no need for me to shell out $40 a month or buy an iphone or Galaxy phone. It's definitely ramen living but I tell myself I'm a minimalist.

@HollygroveMikey so it looks like there’s a list of available games, how could you tell if an upcoming game will be supported? Not sure how all this works really
-
@hollygrovemikey check out "steam deck" its a PC/switch thing and can play xbox on it.
-
@HollygroveMikey have you tried GeForce now yet? I'm trying to understand how it works. I really want this game Sifu coming out Tuesday which is a PS/PC only game. So it's available through the Epic Games Store, which being a console guy I've never used. So I signed up for a free account on GeForce Now just to test it out, with a free-to-play game like Rocket League. So I signed up, I logged in to my Epic account, but I'm still getting 'you don't own this game' even though RL is a free game. So do I have to actually download the game onto to my computer to "own" it? Why would I need to do that? Can't I just tell Epic that I own it somehow without needing to download, since I'm just playing it through GeForce Now anyway? Maybe I'm missing something
Does anyone know how this works
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. You still need to 'buy' the game on Epic Games Store even if its free. Then you 'own' it and can play it GeForce Now. I just tried it on my Macbook and it worked ok although it was a little laggy. Gonna try on my Xbox via Edge
-
@element I used it for awhile to play some non reaction based games. I found it very playable on my Mac with my fiber internet hardwired in
Ngl sifu via GeForce now might be pretty disappointing due to lag
-
@element yeah I’ve never tried it. I don’t know much about it. I just saw the article and shared
-
@ogstank_ damn well I am going to test out Rocket League which is NOT a game you want to play if there's much lag
-
@element rocket league is on Xbox. You can get it for free. I’m ass at it so I don’t play it though.
-
@hollygrovemikey I know, I was just testing GeForce Now with it since it's free to play
-
So I signed up for the $10 priority subscription of GeForce now and it's actually running pretty nice. I figure, if it doesn't work well, whatever I'll cancel and I'm out $10. But I tested Rocket League through my Xbox Edge browser and it wasn't bad. I tested Rogue Company (Free-2-Play online 3rd person shooter) and it ran pretty well actually, not much lag at all. So I think I'm going to buy Sifu tomorrow when it drops, I have a $10 Epic Games coupon so I'll get Sifu standard edition tomorrow when it releases for $30.
It seems like my kind of game -- a deep martial arts fighting system but in a contemporary, at times urban setting. Amazing animations, everything is smooth. With a lot of environmental interaction. Dope!
-
@element So how does it work exactly. You lay the subscription to stream games you own on steam?
-
@xzclaimer Yup, you need to own the game, you access through GeForce Now's platform, which I've done via the Edge browser on my Xbox and can use my controller. But you need to own the games. There's the free to play games though, you just need to 'get' the game from Epic Games, Steam, etc. But you don't get any games for free unless they are already free.
-
Decided to try it out and it’s actually pretty good. I just wish the original Killing Floor was on there.
