The Dark Knight Trilogy- A Review
-
Ho-lee shit. I just gave the trilogy a rewatch and it left me saying
I figured I’d write a lil mini review, talking about some things I liked. Spoilers ahead, but if your dumbass hasn’t watched it by now, you deserve it.
Batman Begins
- Cilian Murphy plays a scarily good Scarecrow
- I love that the three separate villains end up tying all together
- The political/mob aspect may be why I love this movie so much
- Liam Neeson with the HEEL TURN
- They shouldn’t have recast Rachel it feels weird
- Gary Oldman is fantastic, now I see why he’s your pfp @terrible2koldman
- Overall, they do a good job of making an origin story not corny. You can see where his demon’s come from and how he feels responsible to protect the city
The Dark Knight
- Heath Ledger’s Joker is the best incarnation ever. Joaquin Phoenix who?
- They did Two-Face dirty, he should’ve lasted more than one movie
- I loved this movie because the Joker kept preaching chaos, and yet his planning was so meticulous that there was a double cross every time something happened. Sort of an organized chaos
- Lucious Fox a badass
- This movie gets all the quotes.
- That Reese dude is tooooo realistic lol. Dudes can’t even stop themselves from leaking Spider-Man NWH, this dude is leaking Batman’s identity.
- The ending is fantastic. The ferry dilemma is something a psychologist should study some day.
- Harvey Dent a fraud
The Dark Knight Rises
- Here, Batman is MJ coming back from baseball.
- Talia HEEL TURN
- Idgaf if Bane wasn’t like the comics. Dude was still scary af
- The Blake= Robin reveal was corny I’m sorry
- Scarecrow is back, better than ever baby
- That stadium scene is so lit. Dude just kept running and saw the ground fall behind him
- A whole city being trapped is also tooo realistic. I know for a fact that people would tear each other apart if we got isolated with a whole bomb in the town.
- This whole series just paints Gotham as so real. You could tell me that it actually existed and I would believe it.
- The pit is my favorite part of the movie. Bruce has to break himself down before he can build himself back up again.
Some closing thoughts:
I like the other Batman movies, they’re fine. But they’re really corny after the Batman. I feel like this trilogy was a Batman film disguised as a crime/action/political thriller. Nolan does such as great job getting the viewer tuned in. If Pattinson’s Batman can be anything near this, I will love it.
Final Rankings:
The Dark Knight
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight Rises(But they’re all great)
-
Maggie Gyllenhaal is ugly

I almost put one in there asking why they recast Rachel
-
@dc80 wam bam hotter chick, man
-
I love these movies, Christopher Nolan doesn’t miss.
-
Now go watch all of Christopher Nolans movies. S Tier director
-
@dc80 Cillian and Oldman in Begins was the best. If want to see Oldman in a great role, watch Leon: The Professional.
-
@yosemite_ham One of the living breathing goats. I don't miss anything that Nolan or Tarantino does. It's a permanent must watch.
-
They recast Gyllenhall over Katie Holmes because the latter didn't want to be in the movies anymore and wanted to "branch out". Stupid move if you ask me. They probably settled for the uggo and decided mid-filming to kill her off. She's beat like a drum.
