Anyone Else Struggle w This? Help needed

hey all, this is a problem i’ve kinda seen like come into play more and more as i get through high-school, and it’s starting to become an issue i can’t help… i know some of y’all are more wise than i am on this site, and we have smart individuals on this site that can help…
i have a glaring issue with avoiding situations, and hoping for the best. almost like gambling with real life. it’s like “rolling the dice” almost. like in school, it’ll be with grades. i’ll do some work late and be like “oh well i bet he/she’s gonna take it late” or something to that effect, and my grades have slipped because of it…
i know im kind of a minority in this case, but i care a lot about my grades/GPA and really pride myself on it, because they’ve always been good. i was in a position my freshman/sophomore year of being able to get a academic scholarship, but now since i’ve slipped a bit that looks unlikely…
hopefully you guys maybe have some tips or situations that are similar to mine to be shared. i know this isn’t 2k related but there are people on this site i know can say a word or two. admitting my mistake i feel will only help me in the long run!

Get your shit together and step it up.
Because once you get older and look back, you’re gonna wish you did. There’s some things in life you only get one shot at and your formal education is one of them. Get. It. Together. Sir.
If you need something to snap you out of it…go outside and look at the bum ass niggas who wasted time and now can’t rub 2 Pennie’s together lookin dusty with an ugly bitch and no bread. That’s all you need to know, you wanna be like them? Didn’t think so. That shit can happen WAY faster than you think too. I done seen some people i for sure thought was gonna do big things, fall off and never get back up.
Don’t let that be you
Focus, lock in, get your head back in the game…and be the man you were born to be, aight? Make ya mama proud man.

Appreciate the honesty man.
Everything you do or don't do is a building block of your life. It all adds up to who you are. What kind of man do you want to be?
And be sure to glorify God through your work and how you treat people. He gave you a lot of ability it sounds like, so don't waste it mate. A lot of people do. You won't!
-
Sounds like you may have a little anxiety. Just try to see the bigger picture at the end of the day and try to understand that after high school any wiggle room to fuck around in life is out the window and you have to live with the gamble's and outcomes you make and get. Don't get to deep in your head and try to take it easy.

My best suggestion is to prioritize your assignments. It’s what I do daily at work. Make a list, then block off on your phone calendar the time you need to do it. That should help stop the procrastinating.
So if you need 2 hours for an essay for example, put that in your calendar the day you need to do it: 8-10 pm: write essay.
It might take some getting used to, but it works.

phone calendars/reminders was something i’m using more now, and it kinda works but i’ll see the notifications and it’ll take me a min to do whatever i need to do.
so it’s a step in the right direction, again, appreciate the response bro!

Stay in school and stay focused my man. Like 12th said, you fuck up now and the catch up can hit you faster than you know it. If you want a reminder, just look at Tyrone Biggums & avoid turning out like him.

And even if you fail it doesn’t matter what you fail at just don’t that small failures define who you are/who you become there’s always something to learn out of every situation in life

My advice is this. Don’t change who you are, but take those so called weak attributes and turn them into a strength. I too was very much like you described, I did the necessary, hope for the best, left everything last minute never went above and beyond. I didn’t go to college, I earned my stripes in warehouses and odd jobs and in doing so I found my calling. Now I work with C-Level execs to strategize and prioritize initiatives to meet their IT objectives and goals. Mostly on the fly, real-time, no prep and no auditions. The most important part is never give up, find something you love doing and be the best at it. Don’t ever settle. Always strive to be better than the next guy.

Do shit on time do shit late and get hit with the gg thanks for playing.
-
Being late to work and not doing your best in school both lead to missed bread. Just stay focused. If it's other shit in life that's holding you back mentally, just set some goals for yourself and take care of them. Even if it's just small things that add up over time to make yourself feel better.
-
Although I never turned in an assignment late, many of my friends did and got credit for it, albeit it wasn’t for full credit. Now that I’m in college? Whole different ballgame. There are no second chances on an assignment. Better to prepare yourself for that now rather than wait until the last minute…

@508 @Rench3373 appreciate the words man
these messages, and some other things, are opening my eyes more and i feel shit really changing…
might be cringe asl to say this but sometimes so motivational words from people who you don’t know are the ones that really help. again, i appreciate all y’all man, fr.

@12th said it so fucking perfectly that I don’t think there’s anything to add. I wasn’t always the best student but I did my best to stay on top of my shit and I graduated early from high school.
Work towards your goals, stay focused, and you’ll be all good my man. DMs are always open if you need something
