2KU NBA 2022 Draft Competition! Prizes up to $200 (WINNERS DECIDED!)

Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to our second annual draft competition. After learning some lessons last year, I’ve decided to do individual brackets this time. Here are the rules of the competition.
Platform we’ll use:
- Google Form, I’ll have one submitted in this thread this weekend. You are free to wait a month to submit it to me, must be before the deadline though.
Rules:
- Up until June 22nd, 2022 @11:59 pm ET you are allowed to look at mock drafts, research prospects, look at r/NBA Draft, or any other resources you feel will give you the best chance at guessing the most correct amount of pick selections. Once this deadline is passed, you are not allowed to submit your own mock draft.
What to do to win?:
- Guess the most correct pick selections in the NBA 2022 Draft. Your options can be a player or if you think pick will be traded, select “Traded” on the Google Form.
What are the prizes?:
- 1st Place: $200
- 2nd Place: $100
- 3rd Place: $50

You don’t have to do this but if you want to, but if you to let me know you want to participate say, Giddeymania so I know the demand for this giveaway. Google Form isn’t up now but hopefully I’ll have it this weekend.

The Google Form for y’all to fill out (which contains the mock draft) will be posted in here in a couple hours. Here’s some additional things I want to say after tweaking this for a while.
Please read this down below:
- It is LONG but the reason for that is because I’ll be collecting statistics, giving y’all lots of options to choose from and maybe post a community wide mock draft for fun if I got time.
- If a pick doesn’t have a choice of the prospect that was selected (let’s say Trevion Williams was picked 13th), everyone will GET points for that since that’s my fault.
- If you think the pick is traded, click “Pick Is Traded.”
- This is due June 22nd @ 11:59pm ET, meaning you are free to post your mock draft via This Google Form anytime until that date. However, you are only allowed to submit your mock draft ONCE! So choose wisely when you want to submit. I’ll allow a “correction” on picks in case if you picked the same prospect twice.
Overall, have fun and enjoy Game 2 of the Finals

Also btw, you’ll see prospects who are projected high in this 1st Round but they are available in later picks on this Google Form, the reason for that is because you never know if one of these guys fall. So if you want to predict a fall, here you go.

Just want to remind y’all that the deadline to submit your mock drafts is June 22nd, 2022 @ 11:59pm ET. Which is tomorrow.
Please Read: Now onto some “changes”:

So I noticed now I probably wasn’t clear with the one mock draft rule and didn’t provide exceptions to that. As of now, I’ve noticed a few mock drafts that have stuff such as the same player selected twice. Because I didn’t anticipate this issue beforehand and feel this would put those at a disadvantage if I let it go, I’ve decided to give an exemption and allow y’all to correct these issues before the deadline, however all of your picks from your first submission (except for the picks with the same player(s) picked) will be kept and cannot be changed.

However if you haven’t submitted your mock draft yet, since this is a long Google Form with a lot of options, I would suggest having a notepad or some method that helps you keep track of it, this way you give yourself the best chance to be in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place.

As for the 26th and 30th Pick, consider those picks to have already been traded and consider the 26th Pick belonging to the Rockets and the 30th Pick belonging to the Nuggets. You are free to select “Trade pick” as an option for the 26th and 30th Pick, but you are assuming then that Houston trades the 26th Pick and Denver trades the 30th Pick.

If another Pick from here to tomorrow has been traded, then consider that pick belonging to the Team that traded for it.

Btw if you’re curious where the mock draft is posted, if you scroll up a little bit you should see a long Google Form, that’s the Form you need to fill out for your Mock Draft

@shinostique question. Rather than select trade pick can I just pick the player that I think is going to go in that spot no matter which team picks?
Trying to keep track of hypothetical trades in my head and which players are off the board in those scenarios is too confusing

Yup you can. I gave “Trade Pick” because it’s hard to predict exactly who a team will select with that traded pick.
Basically the “trade pick” is a great option if you think the pick will be traded because it won’t matter who is picked with that traded pick.

Yeah that works and you’ll get credit if Ivey is selected at 4. However what’s even easier for you is that if you select “Pick is Traded” you wouldn’t have to worry about whether Ivey is selected there at all.
For example if Kings pick is traded and it’s Keegan Murray who’s selected, then you wouldn’t get credit for that. However if you select “Pick is Traded” you don’t have to worry about this situation at all and you’ll get credit because you correctly guessed the pick was traded.
So why don’t I have “Pick is Traded” and additional points for guessing the player? Well tbh, I didn’t think about that one lol.
