If the NFL suspends Deshaun Watson they’re in the wrong. Deshaun sat last year on his own choice and if he does settle with the “victims” and not receive a conviction the NFL suspending him has nothing to back it up other than to “protect the shield” cause how is the legal system gonna not convict him but they give him a punishment.

DUH cmon lol, I KNOW that. This SPECIFIC comment is about the picks the Texans got from Cleveland. Also: He sat on because of MUTAL conversations with the Texans (he wanted out, we didnt, me too cases, trade talks halt, so adding all that equals us paying him to sit and deal with his shit, and come back later)
The legality is actually simple:
No indictment = Traded
Settlement of 20 out of 24: NDA and $$$$
The other 4: Pretty much Civil at this pointAND to answer your point about "protecting the shield"
NO the NFL WOULD NOT BE WRONG IN SUSPENDING HIM. We are also in "Me Too" and Cancel Culture" era and it runs rampant (guilty or not) for anyone of celebrity status.....he WILL be suspended AND he will be made an example of because he stained the league and himself.Why? He a QB (an elite one at that), Face of a Franchise...SOMETHING of sexual nature happened ...(wanted or unwanted, he admitted it anyway)...plus predatory behavior is similar = Cosby. Guilty or not, he will be made an example of. (but he will appeal and should use the owners situations (snyder, jerry world, robert kraft etc) as a reason why he shouldnt)

The NFL making a suspension after he is not officially convicted after he chose to sit a year is like saying they have higher power than the law because nothing was PROVEN only was accused.
I already said he probably did it to some if not all.

Duh they will suspend him but what I’m saying is suspending someone for something they were found innocent of technically is contradicting. If the law says innocent until PROVEN guilty and you suspend me after being found innocent or not guilty then you need to give the law enforcement the evidence you have to back up suspending me.

He wasnt found innocent, he never went to trial. Its not like OJ where he got acquitted, the Grand Jury said there wasnt sufficient grounds to prosecute. Which isnt to say that one day the DA will find any but in cases of sexual assault you almost need a cum drenched massage table to bring it to trial.

I don’t give a fuck about the NFL is the only reason I even made this point. If it’s not enough evidence for a trial then it’s not enough evidence for a suspension that’s my point.
If accusations are enough for a suspension then they need to say that.

Literally they didn't indict. No trial. So he isn't guilty nor Innocent. U can be punished still. He facin no criminal charges but will face civil stuff tho

No problem..but the system is skewed. Basically they will suspend him on the grounds that his behavior is predatorial, the pattern is an endangerment to the public.
