Fuck Jaylen Brown.

need j poole to step it up today

Itβs crazy how not one single Warrior Stan cried about Steve Kerrβs coaching last game after they wonβ¦. itβs only a problem when they lose. Go figure
-
-
@hollygrovemikey what a horrible take. Of course fans aren't going to complain when a coach adjusts after a poor outing.
-
@quantumkat and that was a smart adjustment. That as well as the benching of Draymond. Kerr knows how to coach. But Warriors won because Steph stepped up and closed the Celtics out. That was my only problem with his game in the losses.
-
@danali In 2 losses. All I heard was Kerr constantly being blamed. No one says a thing about Kerr when they win.

Why would you criticize a coach after a win when his rotation adjustments helped secure the W?
Do you not think coaches deserve criticism in losses sometimes?

His brain is running on E and failed to provide him with a decent troll post this morning.
-
@quantumkat I'm just trying to understand the point he's going for. That since some fans weren't happy with his coaching in 2 losses that they should still be unhappy when he coaches better in wins? Lol
-
@YOSEMITE_HAM obviously in the case of bad coaching yes. A coach deserves blame, but thatβs not the case in this series. Steve Kerr is an all time great coach and that was just deflecting by Warriors fans on their superstars poor play. Curry didnβt close out the games when they loss, Klay didnβt show up in the first loss and Dray has been bad all games except 1 game.
-
@hollygrovemikey all coaches, even great ones, can have subpar performances just like players

Playing Iggy for the amount of minutes (2, believe it or not) Kerr did in Game 3 was an abomination. Iggy came into the game and immediately had 1 horrible shot and 2 horrendous turnovers - 3 wasted possessions in an important game, in just 2 minutes.
In Game 4 he didn't see the court.
Same thing with allowing Draymond to play and take 12 FG attempts in game 1. He was subsequently benched down the stretch in Game 4.
Great adjustments, but going back to Game 3 he should have never played Iggy and he should've sat Dray down in Game 1 and told him to extend each possession rather than killing it with a horrible FG attempt.
-
@yosemite_ham and I disagree that he had a subpar performance as a coach. His players just played like shit. Klay couldnβt buy a bucket, Steph was BBQ chicken on Defense and disappeared in 4th (in the losses), Dray was all around awful. They needed every bit of Stephβs 43 points to win last game
-
@hollygrovemikey just because you disagree with their opinion that Kerr didn't coach to his potential doesn't mean that they're only saying that to deflect blame from their players like you're accusing.
Kerr made noticeable changes and the Warriors won a game on the road so maybe they were onto something

Exactly.
Let's hope he's got all these lessons learned for a crucial Game 5 tonight. If Dray is stinking it up again, bench him. Do not hesitate. And I never wanna see Iggy on the floor for us again unless it's garbage time.

I mean in the case of Draymond. You would expect a vet/champion/ corner stone of the team to figure it out and I believe Iggy was put in the game for defensive reasons. Tatum and Brown are a tough matchup. It just didnβt work out

This is the most crucial game of the series

if you could add one role player (realistically) to each team⦠who would it be?
role player (wiehebrink definition)- less than 13 ppg and isnβt a consistent starter on their team.
mine:
Golden State: iβm adding- Nic Batum. 3-D guy who can play their small ball 5. solid passer and playmaker who doesnβt need to take a bunch of shots.
Boston: iβm adding- Pat Bev. besides smart, i feel like this team needs more grit and βdawgβ in them. pat bev gonna add that. he can hit shots and ainβt afraid to get up in Curryβs business.
-
@yosemite_ham Tell me one objective thing that youβve heard @QuantumKat or @pedronqneves say about Steph Curry? I watched Steph go 3/17 in a game and was told that his gravity makes it so that a game like that is better than a 40 point game from Lukaβ¦ And where were you the last 3 seasons while Lakers got trolled after every loss with dumb takes

Yes, show me where I said a poor shooting night by Steph with gravity is BETTER than a 40 point game from Luka.
I'll tip my hat, absoutely.

Then take my name out your posts then bruh... I know I never said some silly shit like that LOL...
-
@hollygrovemikey this finals is a strange series for you to expect those 2 guys to criticize their favorite player. Steph has easily been the best player in the finals
You must have missed when I predicted the Lakers to win in 2020 and have defended the bubble setting
-
@quantumkat (it doesnβt look as ridiculous if I take your name out, I need you associated with that level of Stanning by Pedro ) Iβm just saying Iβve never even seen you acknowledge Steph playing bad when in reality he slumped for about 3 months of the season.

@yosemite_ham Yeah I remember youβve been mostly neutral, but Iβm sure youβve witnessed the constant trolling of the Lakers through the bubble and through the seasons and in general by the usual culpritsβ¦ So itβs only right they get it back tenfold.
-
-
@quantumkat thatβs a slight dig.
-
@quantumkat Wow
you win. My apologies
-
@hollygrovemikey you cannot do it
Specially the way they were doing to KD denying and grabbing a lot before he gets the ball
Same for pinching , you cannot pinch Steph that way because he is way better ball handlerIsnβt a good a idea to do that against a motion offense where a guy can shoot from everywhere at high rate , is too risky
-
@ogxsuave If the C's start throwing bodies at Curry, their entire roster is gonna be gassed after half lmao. He's an offball threat unlike Durant. You can't have 2 people chasing him around the half court -- they aren't conditioned for that.

Steph is a way better ball handler than KD, but their is definitely a defense they can run to slow him down. Iβve seen teams do it. Gotta pick him up full court, double team at the half court and irritate him. Basically just devote your whole Defensive plan to him and play physical.
